Greetings from a blustery Camp New Hope. It is still July but it feels like Fall is in the air.
Meet Nathan and his family who were our guest last week. We had a huge crowd, 16 here Sunday thru Tuesday then 4 of the gang left and 12 were here the remainder of the week. What fun it was to see all the excitement here at the camp. Nathan will be 2 next month and he has been diagnosed with SMA. He is unable to talk or walk and he is fed with a feeding tube and he loves to watch Curious George on the big screen and the flat screen in his bedroom. I will have to admit I shed quite a few tears this week. What an honor to be able for all of us to serve this precious family. Everyone was so appreciative of everything we did for them.
Nathan was included in everything we did. Martin sang to him, he loved the horses at Ernies, the Park Ranger (we put a skunk in his stroller with him), Santa and his visit with his family to Village Inn.
This week we have a youth group of 12 with us from Discovery Church to help out with on going projects. I am sure it is going to be an exciting week.
Please remember each family and child in your prayers. Also, please remember the camp that we can always be a glimmer of HOPE to these precious families.
Visit us when you can and God bless you for your continued financial support.
For the children,
