Greetings from Camp New Hope! Baby it’s cold outside and we are expecting an Artic Blast later this week. I hope we are ready!
Meet Heidi who was our guest a few weeks back. Heidi is 18 months old and came to us with her parents and sister. She has been diagnosed with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) and is unable to talk or walk and is fed with a feeding tube. She has a beautiful smile and is so bright eyed! She is involved in a trial treatment for SMA (only one in 7 in the USA) and since beginning this treatment she is able to move her arms and hands to her face. Praise God! Miracles do happen every day. We don’t know what the future holds for her but we do know who holds the future. Please pray for all of our children and families.
It is with much sadness that I must report the passing of the father of Mark and Will Adkins who are owners of the camp. Please remember this family also at this time.
With Thanksgiving just around the corner we are reminded we have so much to be thankful for. May God bless each and everyone of you.
For the children,
