Meet Caitlin

Greetings from a beautiful and busy Camp New Hope!

I would like to introduce to you Caitlin, our guest for this week.  Caitlin has Rett Syndrome and unlike most 15 year olds she finds it difficult to fit into our world.  Caitlin is a beautiful young lady whose mind will not allow her to do the things she would like to do.  Caitlin will laugh at times so you know she is enjoying things.  Take a look at her pictures and let me help you take a glimpse into her world.  Someone said having Rett Syndrome is like having Autism, Seizure Disorder, Parkinson and Cerebral Palsy all in one.  One of her favorite things to do is sit on the floor and twirl a ball.  She loved all she did at camp this week.

Thank you to her mom and dad for donating the boat for the kids to tube down the river in.  Such a sweet family that needs your prayers.  Caitlin has good days and bad days and her mom is her caregiver so it isn’t easy for her either.

Plans for the new lodge are moving right along.  Thank you for those who have donated and for those that are unable to but are keeping us in your prayers.  Remember you can mail your donations to Camp New Hope  P.O. Box 154  Glendale Springs, NC  28629.  For a donation of 1,000.  you will have a paver placed with your name engraved on it in the patio of the new fire pit.

Visit when you can and God bless you all!

For the children,
