Greetings from Camp New Hope!
We would like to introduce to you, Jonathan age 12 who is with us this week. He brings with him his entire family of 12. Jonathan has been diagnosed with Leigh’s Disease which is a Mitochondrial Disease. Jonathan had to spend his first day with us at the local hospital. He is however feeling better and is enjoying his stay here.
Tonight is movie night. Thank you to the Parkway Theater for allowing Jonathan and his family to see a movie for free. It just warms my heart to know that there are still giving folks in this world. Ranger Jeff had four boys to do his program for and then he stopped by to say “hello” to Jonathan. Ranger Jeff is such a special person also. He has the patience of Job and a heart of gold. Jonathan loved his hayless hay ride and Ernies and tomorrow he will be treated pizza by Village Inn. Santa will be here also and he just loves Santa. Please pray for Jonathan, he is a very sick little boy.
Thank you for all of your support and prayers. This has been a very difficult year because so many of our precious children as just so sick.
Visit when you can.
For the children,
